Pledge to Image Gently

Austin Cancer Centers and Georgetown Cancer Center have pledged to "Image Gently" in compliance with recommendations set forth by The Alliance for Radiation Safety in Pediatric Imagining campaign.  The goal is to lower radiation dose in the imaging of children and small adults.  We pledge to:

• make the image gently message a priority in staff communications
• review the protocol recommendations and, where necessary, implement adjustments to practice processes
• respect and listen to suggestions from every member of the imaging team on ways to ensure changes are made
• communicate openly with parents of our patients
