Commitment

Fighting cancer requires commitment. It demands focus, attention to detail and diligence and it very often involves effort. So we’ve embraced these commitments. As an independent cancer center that sets its own standards and policies, we’ve crafted ours around being completely dedicated to the people in our care. We don’t avoid challenges. We don’t shy away from difficulties and we do whatever we possibly can to help people recover from cancer.

A long tradition of providing people with leading-edge care.

Over the past three decades, we’ve made major contributions to the advancement of cancer care in Central Texas. We brought radiation oncology here in 1973. We went on to introduce 3D-conformal and intensity-modulated radiation, implanted brachytherapy seeds and stereotactic radiosurgery. We founded the region’s radiation technology academic training programs. We are the area’s only pediatric radiation oncologists. As part of our complete cancer care, we are the only team in Central Texas offering every modern radiation treatment.

Giving people reason to hope for excellent outcomes.

With cancer care, outcomes matter most. At Austin Cancer Centers and Georgetown Cancer Center in Central  Texas, we know that excellent outcomes result from excellent care. This is why we treat the whole person rather than just their cancer. It’s why we collaborate with one another to make informed decisions and provide the highest standard of care. We also have more staff per patient than other cancer centers. We provide the expertise and skill of well-trained cancer specialists with decades of experience.

Caring for people with genuine compassion & personal attention.

At our cancer centers, there’s no magic to treating cancer. It’s a simple matter of truly caring for people. This means being kind, respectful, honest, attentive, responsive and understanding. It means listening, explaining, helping and being careful and purposeful. It means doing what we know is best, most appropriate and most effective. We care for people because we are people and because we know that, when facing cancer, people need — and deserve — compassion.
